Hello, I’m Nathan. I am a book designer and musician based in Boston, Massachusetts.
I have worked in the publishing industry for over twenty years. Currently, I primarily design young adult and middle-grade fiction and nonfiction interiors. I also design book jackets and covers, graphic novels, and picturebooks.
I care deeply about building and supporting the local (and far-flung) design community. I served on the board of AIGA Boston for seven years, where I led the Design for Good initiative before serving as VP of Programming. During that time I helped produce events on topics including type design, healthcare, food trucks (and beyond), UX design, business and strategy, and more. I ran a monthly design-book discussion group, helped create a design conference that ran for three years, and collaborated with the ICA Boston on a yearly design lecture.
I am always happy to make new connections, and am open to taking on new projects if they’re a good fit. Please reach out and say hello.
